Why This Site Exists
A driver with no record is priced on an absence, not a mistake. Carriers rate new drivers higher than experienced ones because there is no claims history to evaluate, no years of safe driving to discount. Almost nobody explains that clearly, or the graduated licensing rules that differ in every state, or the discounts new drivers qualify for and never claim.
We exist to give new drivers of any age, and the households insuring them, an accurate path to their first policy. When you submit your information, licensed agents in your area compete for your business. This service is free to you. We're compensated by the agents, not by you.
Our mission is to make the first insurance decision a legible one. Graduated licensing rules, state minimum liability limits, and carrier discount availability on this site are verified against state DMV records, IIHS licensing data, and carrier filings. Licensing rules vary significantly by state. Always confirm current requirements with your state DMV.
How the Platform Works
You tell us how long you have been licensed, what stage of graduated licensing you are in, and whether you are comparing a standalone policy or adding to an existing household policy. We ask for your ZIP code, vehicle information, and coverage preferences. That information is shared with licensed agents in your area who write policies for drivers with no record.
Agents review your submission and provide quotes. You receive multiple offers, compare them, and choose the one that fits your budget and coverage needs. You are never obligated to accept a quote. The agents compensate us when you choose to work with them. You pay nothing for access to the platform.
Every agent on this platform is licensed in your state and appointed by the carriers they represent. You can verify their license status through your state Department of Insurance. If you have questions about a quote, contact the agent directly. If you have questions about how this site works, contact us through the information below.
How Content Is Verified
Every state page on this site is built from three sources: state DMV licensing rules, state Department of Insurance minimum liability requirements, and carrier filings that specify discount availability by state. Graduated licensing ages, supervised driving hour requirements, and restriction windows are verified against IIHS licensing data and state DMV websites. We update this data annually and flag any state-specific rule changes within 30 days of their effective date.
National cost data is sourced from Bankrate, MoneyGeek, Insure.com, and ValuePenguin studies published in 2025 and 2026. We do not publish premium estimates we cannot source. We do not fabricate statistics. We do not invent discount figures. When a figure varies by state, we say so and direct you to your state page.
If you find an error, contact us. We correct verified errors within 48 hours and flag the correction date on the affected page. Content is reviewed quarterly against current state regulations. We do not accept payment from carriers to alter content, rankings, or discount descriptions.
